Welcome to Clearform Intel

By Graham Billington

This is a blog about threat intelligence, OSINT, and geopolitical analysis. I’m Graham - software engineer, TikTok creator, and someone who’s been spending way too much time tracking conflicts and staring at satellite imagery instead of shipping features.

I’m not a former intelligence analyst. I’m not ex-military. I’m a developer who builds things, knows how to work with data, and got pulled into this world because the problems are genuinely interesting. Building web apps all day while the world is on fire doesn’t stimulate my brain. Tracking how adversaries operate, making sense of open source information, understanding how a conflict in the Persian Gulf ripples through shipping lanes, insurance markets, and energy prices - that does.

This blog is me learning in public. I’m actively building my analyst and threat intel skills through this work, and the blog is going to evolve as I do. Right now it’s written analysis and sourced breakdowns. Over time I plan to layer in geospatial analysis with satellite imagery, track Telegram channels and open source feeds, and apply ML to unique dataflows to derive real intelligence insights. The technical projects will get more ambitious as my intelligence skills develop. I have a strong technical foundation in Software Engineering and Machine Learning, but threat intelligence and geopolitical analysis is new to me (although I’ve been following foreign conflicts for quite some time now).

Some posts will be technical. Some will be analytical. Some will probably be wrong, and I’ll own that when it happens. What they won’t be is safe, sanitized takes designed to avoid offending anyone. I like thinking outside the box and operating outside the lines of what’s considered polite commentary. The world is messy and complicated and pretending otherwise doesn’t help anyone.

That’s the other reason this exists. People are scared right now and fear makes people loop. They doomscroll, they panic, they share bad information, and they end up less informed than when they started. I want this to be a place where you can get a clear-eyed breakdown of what’s actually happening without the cable news hysteria or the Twitter apocalypse posting. Grounding people in clarity, so they don’t live their lives in fear.

If you’re a developer curious about the intelligence space, or you just want sourced analysis from someone who’s learning the craft in real time, stick around.

Let’s get to work.
