About Clearform Intel

By Graham Billington, founder & CEO of Clearform Labs

Clearform Intel is a research blog focused on making threat intelligence and open source intelligence more accessible. The intelligence space has traditionally been gatekept behind classified networks and expensive platforms - but so much of this work can be done with open data, open tools, and the right analytical mindset.

This blog documents that process. Every post is written from the perspective of someone who builds software for a living and is applying that engineering lens to intelligence problems - automating collection, building detection pipelines, turning raw satellite data into actionable insight.

What we cover

  • OSINT - open source intelligence techniques and tradecraft
  • Threat intelligence - adversary tactics, TTPs, and the threat landscape
  • GEOINT - satellite imagery, shipping data, and geospatial analysis
  • Detection engineering - writing rules, building detections, defending systems
  • Tutorials - practical walkthroughs for people coming from a dev background

Why this exists

The best way to learn something deeply is to explain it. Clearform Intel is a learning-in-public project - a place to work through hard problems, share what actually works, and build a body of reference material that's useful to anyone getting into this space.
